Beware And Be Safe: Summer Activities That Land Lubbock Kids In The ER
Do you ever walk by accidents waiting to happen?
Just last week at the park, I saw multiple- two kids riding an ATV-type vehicle across the park grass (that's not allowed, BTW), kids jumping together on a trampoline staring at people at the park as they flew above their fence line, and the kid who was popping wheelies on an E-bike.

It's Not My Business, But It Should Be Their Parents
While I saw all these accidents waiting to happen, I didn't see any actual accidents, so I filed all of it under "not my business" and moved on.
However, any one of these kids could have gotten seriously hurt, particularly the kid on the E-bike (but hey, at least he was wearing a helmet). There are safe ways to enjoy these activities, and many kids enjoy them without ever getting hurt. However, some of these activities really should be limited by age and experience, and clear rules should be set.
Supervision Is A Must
I know it- when we were kids, we were pretty much set loose all day during the summer. I lived that experience, and perhaps in many ways it was good for me. However, when you know better, you do better, so here's a list of summer activities that should have parent supervision, guidance, and clear-cut rules:
