Do you remember your first job in Lubbock?

I put in dozens and dozens of applications and crossed my fingers I'd get something good. Eventually, I was lucky enough to snag a cool job as a barista at Daybreak Coffee Roasters. The back page of the application asked you to draw yourself working there and I remember going to buy colored pencils and trying SUPER hard to make something that would stand out among other applications. It worked and I was stoked about it.

It was an excellent first job and I made a ton of friends. I was pretty sad when they closed all of the Daybreak locations years later, but I'm glad they still roast coffee beans downtown. I actually get to drink their coffee every day in my office, and I can confirm that it is still just as yummy.
