The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has issued a tornado watch for much of eastern Oklahoma and portions of north-central and northeastern Texas. The watch is in effect until 6 p.m. Monday.

The primary threats within the watch area are tornadoes, a few of which may be intense (111+ mph), scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph, and hail. Some of the hail could be the size of golf balls or larger.

A slow-moving cold front continues to trigger numerous showers and thunderstorms across Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. Sunday night, tornadoes injured 11 people in the Oklahoma City Metro.

A developing line of thunderstorms is expected to intensify through the afternoon across the watch with supercells and bowing lines capable of damaging winds and tornadoes.

The tornado watch area is approximately 75 statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles south-southeast of Fort Worth to 35 miles northwest of Grove, Oklahoma.
