
It’s Official: Sears in Lubbock Will Be Closing
Earlier today, we told you about the possibility of the Sears store at the South Plains Mall closing.
It's now official. The Sears store in Lubbock, subject to bankruptcy court approval, is on the chopping block.
According to the below filing in the US Bankruptcy Court, the Lubbock location is subject to close.

Sears plans to close the 142 stores listed in the bankruptcy filing before the end of the year.
Sears has been a part of the South Plains Mall since 1978. The next question is, what will replace it?
