The Dallas Cowboys started Training Camp on Sunday in Oxnard, CA to begin preparing for the 2013 NFL season.

Much like the 2012 season, the injury bug hit the Cowboys with Defensive Lineman Tyrone Crawford suffering a season ending injury with a torn Achilles during drills. Crawford played in all 16 games last season with 33 tackles for the Cowboys in his rookie season.

Quarterback Tony Romo returns to the practice field after signing a six-year, $108 million contract this past March.

“I feel good. I’ve been throwing, I’ve been running, I’ve been doing all that stuff,” Romo said after practice Sunday. “I was excited about getting out here – honestly, just the smell of the grass and being out on the football field is a great feeling. You never want to take that for granted.”

Romo threw for 4,903 yards, 28 touchdowns and 19 interceptions last season while struggling through much of the season.

The Cowboys start the preseason on Sunday, August 4th in the Hall of Fame Game against the Miami Dolphins.
