First, the most important game in to West Texans is No. 19 Texas Tech hosting the Iowa State Cyclones. As I wrote on Thursday, Iowa State is starting freshman Jared Barnett at Quarterback for his first start. He can run the ball well and might give the Tech defense a hard time.

Score: Texas Tech 42 Iowa State 24

Missouri at No. 16 Texas A&M, 11 A.M.

In a match up for fifth place in the SEC West...wait, that isn't until 2012. While Mizzou tries to make a speedy exit from the Big 12, the Tigers are reeling at 3-4 on the season and are back down to earth after 4 seasons of raised expectations with Blaine Gabbert and Chase Daniel at the helm of the offense. Now they simply can't stop anyone on defense and can rarely afford to be in a shootout. Texas A&M has found their breath in the second half the past 4 games and look to pile up points on the Tigers.

Score: Texas A&M 54 Missouri 21

No. 9 Oklahoma at No. 8 Kansas State 2:30 p.m.

Oklahoma hasn't lost 2 in a row very much under Bob Stoops and tend to bounce back well after losses with resounding victories. K-State has raced out to 7-0 record and has key victories over Miami, Texas Tech, and Baylor. We'll find out how much the Wildcats will be exposed or if they are the real deal in 2011. Look for K-State coach Bill Snyder to have his Wildcats ready for this game.

Score: Kansas State 38 Oklahoma 35, overtime

Baylor at No. 3 Oklahoma State 2:30 p.m.

Oklahoma State has the best offense in the country. Baylor has one of the worst defenses in the country. Baylor has a pulse this season, but the Cowboys seem like a team of destiny. Simple math here.

Score: Oklahoma State 62 Baylor 35

Kansas at No. 24 Texas 6 p.m.

Kansas has lost 5 in a row and Texas has gone out to a 4-2 record in their recovery season from the 2010 debacle of 2010. Kansas has the worst defense in the conference and don't have the horses to stop much of anything Texas does. The Texas defense might have some trouble with Kansas' offense early on, but look for a easy Horns win.

Score: Texas 34 Kansas 20
