The #25 ranked Texas Tech baseball squad made the trip up to Stillwater, Oklahoma on Friday as they looked to notch their second Big 12 series win of the year.  #20 Oklahoma State had other plans though in game one as they proved to be too much for Tech.  Their pitching really kept the Red Raider offense off balance all game as they allowed just one run on five hits in their 3-1 win.

OSU starter Jon Perrin (3-2) notched his third win of the season pitching six innings allowing just one run and scattering five hits with four strikeouts and a walk.  Cowboys reliever Brendan McCurry pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his sixth save of the season.  For Texas Tech, their starter Matt Withrow took the loss as he allowed a run on two hits and two walks with a strikeout in just one inning of work.  The Red Raiders used two relievers in the contest with left-handed pitcher Cameron Smith (3.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO) and right-handed pitcher Dominic Moreno (3.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 SO) who both made appearances on Friday night.

Tim Tadlock and company will continue their three-game Big 12 series on Saturday with game two of the series scheduled for a 3 pm start and Sunday's series finale set to start at 1pm.
