Get ready for an awesome new pizza shop coming to the Hub City in January 2021.

1000 Degrees Pizza is finally making its way to Lubbock, and we could not be more excited to welcome them to town.

It's one of the fastest-growing franchises in the United States and could become a new go-to pizza spot. A quick peek at the various locations of the restaurant may have you wondering why they have chosen to infiltrate smaller cities, rather than taking an easier route and targeting places with a higher population.

1000 Degrees Pizza CEO Brian Petruzzi said this about the restaurant's expansion into smaller towns:

"We're looking for schools. We're looking for parks. We want to see a community, and that's why we go into towns where others might not. Some of these smaller towns are our most successful stores," Petruzzi said.

A new pizza place with a hometown vibe sounds right up our alley. The menu includes classic pizza favorites and options to choose your own toppings, as well as some new and exciting flavors, like "Smokey Pollo" (Smokey bourbon barbecue sauce, shredded mozzarella, blue cheese crumbles, grilled chicken, bacon, red onion, red peppers, and pineapple.) and "The White Out" (Olive oil, shredded mozzarella, parmesan, fresh mushrooms, and garlic.)

Customers also will have a choice between Roman-style or Neapolitan-style pizza. Appetizers, salads, and dessert are also on the menu, as well as a kid's size pizza.

You can check out 1000 Degrees' new Lubbock location after the new year at 3711 19th Street.
