On Sunday, February 17th, a local coffee shop was broken into.

KAMC News reports that at around 9 a.m., the TOVA Coffeehouse on 6023 82nd Street had one of their front windows smashed in.

More than $1,400 was stolen from the store safe. The TOVA Coffeehouse also operates as a non-profit organization, raising money for holistic poverty solutions in Lubbock.

TOVA Coffeehouse President Aaron Dawson told KAMC News that some of the money stolen had recently been raised to benefit the Children’s Home of Lubbock.

It's not known whether there is any security camera footage of the burglary or if police are currently looking for any suspects.
