The Texas Rangers kicked off a three game midweek series with the Seattle Mariners as they sent Justin Grimm to the mound.  He was hoping to put back-to-back wins together in consecutive starts but the Mariners had other plans as they beat the Rangers 9-2 on Tuesday night.

Grimm (Pictured on the Right) was able to go just four innings while giving up five runs on seven hits and gave up three homeruns in the contest.  His opposition, Joe Saunders, had a solid outing as he went 6.2 innings while giving up just one run.  The Rangers offense was able to compile eleven hits but could only squeeze across two runs for the entire game.

Texas will try to get back on track in game two of this midweek series.  They will send Derek Holland to the mound to try and counter Seattle's ace Felix Hernandez.  First pitch is set for 7:05 pm on FOX Sports SW from the Ballpark in Arlington.
