The Houston Astros Start a Four Game Weekend Series Against the Division Leading Oakland Athletics
The Houston Astros are headed west after Wednesday's walkoff victory over the Minnesota Twins. Their destination is to Oakland to take on the Atheltics who just came off winning a series against the division leading Texas Rangers. With their win they are now tied a top the American League West with Texas.
Houston will now start a four game weekend series in hopes of building off Wednesday's momentum. They will send Brad Peacock (Pictured on the Left) to the mound opposite Oakland's starter Sonny Gray. Peacock is 2-3 in his last ten starts with a 5.31 ERA while walking 23 batters in that span. He has not been much better for the majority of the season as his ERA is almost 6 (5.98 is the official stat) with a 3-5 record to go along with it.
The Astros will need a solid outing from him and an even better performance from their offense if they want to have a chance against Oakland this weekend. They are only 3-12 against the A's this year, including three three-game sweeps. Houston is now 46-93 (34 games out of first place) on the year with the worst record in baseball.
First pitch for this series is set for Friday at 9:05 pm from O.co Coliseum in Oakland.
