The Houston Astros dropped their second straight game against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday as they were blown out by a final score of 13-2.  Houston's starter Jarred Cosart struggled early, giving up three runs on four hits in his first two innings.  He threw three scoreless innings until the sixth, when he gave up a two-run double to Robinson Cano, who later scored.  He was taken out of the game after giving up six runs, four walks and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings on his way to earning the loss.

Offensively, Houston struggled as they were only able to score two runs on eleven hits while leaving twelve runners on base and going 2-9 with runners in scoring position.  Hisashi Iwakuma improved to 6-4 with a 3.33 ERA as he allowed seven hits with no walks and seven strikeouts in six innings of work.  With the loss the team is now 36-49 on the year which puts them in last place in the AL West.  The Astros will wrap up their mid-week series with Seattle today with first pitch for that game set for 1:10pm.  You can hear all the action right here on Sports Radio 1340 the FAN.
