Texas Tech sophomore first baseman Blake Bass has been recognized by Perfect Game for the second time in past few days.

The college baseball website tabbed Bass as the top power prospect from the Far West Summer Collegiate League Tuesday after named him the No. 36 MLB Draft prospect from the state of Texas for the 2014 draft.

Bass is a local product, graduating from Coronado High in 2011. He was also named the No. 2 prospect in the Far West League by Perfect Game while playing this past summer for the Neptune Beach Pearls.

He finished the summer batting .331 (55-for-166) in 43 starts with 15 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 33 RBI with a .506 slugging percentage and .417 on-base percentage.
