The Red Raider baseball team dropped both midweek games against New Mexico, after falling Wednesday afternoon 6-4 at Dan Law field at Rip Griffin Park.

Tech fell to the Lobos 10-3 Tuesday evening.

New Mexico scored one run in the first inning, two in the fourth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth. Texas Tech attempted to mount a comeback scoring three of their four runs in the eighth inning, but just fell short.

Right fielder Nick Hanslik led Tech from behind the plate going 3 for 4 with an RBI. As a team Texas Tech was limited to just five hits on the afternoon.

Wednesday’s game concluded Tech’s 10-game homestand, the longest of the season.

The Red Raiders return to the diamond Friday at 6:30, to open a three game road series against Oklahoma State.
