Texas Supreme Court Requests Merits of Mike Leach Appeal

Earlier Friday, The Texas Supreme Court requested the merits briefing on the petition for review file by former Texas Tech head football coach Mike Leach in his lawsuit against Texas Tech University.

Leach has until September 19^th of this year to provide briefing on the merits of his case to the Texas Supreme Court to consider the correctness of the Court of Appeals’ decision.

Paul Dobrowski, Leach's attorney, said in a press release,

"We are gratified and pleased that the Texas Supreme Court is seeking additional briefing on Mike's petition requesting a review of the Seventh Court of Appeals' decision denying Mike from having his day in court against Texas Tech. Texas Tech has tried continuously to hide its misconduct behind the outdated veil of sovereign immunity."
