Just after 12:15p this afternoon, Texas Tech Football announced that sophomore running back Ronnie Daniels has been dismissed from the team.

The dismissal is because of a violation of team rules and he will not be reinstated to the team.

Daniels only played in one game last season for the Red Raiders, their 59-13 win at New Mexico.  Daniels in the game had 9 carries for 44 yards and 1 touchdown.  After the New Mexico game, Daniels was suspended for the rest of the 2011 season due to a violation of team rules.  He rejoined the team for spring practice and played in Saturday's Spring Game.
