The Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team fell in their regular season finale 66-54 to 24th ranked Texas A&M. Tech finished their regular season with a losing record.

The Red Raiders had problems all day with the inside play of the Aggies. David Loubeau led the way for the Aggies as he finished with a game high 21 points. Leading the way for Texas Tech was Senior David Tairu, who had 14 points.

The loss means the Red Raiders finish the season with a record of 13-18 and 5-11 in the Big 12. With the win, the Aggies improved to 23-7 on the year and 10-6 in the conference. It was also the third loss in the last four tries for the Red Raiders.

Tech will now prepare for play in the Big 12 tournament. Should Tech win the Big 12 tournament, they would get an automatic win for the NCAA tournament. Winning the Big 12 tournament would most likely also be the only way they will see post conference tournament play.
