The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal is reporting that Texas Tech Women's Basketball Coach Kristy Curry has interviewed for the vacant head coaching position at LSU, Tech officials confirmed Wednesday.

Texas Tech Baseball travels to No. 7 Oklahoma tomorrow for a three game series starting Friday Night at 6:30, Saturday at 7pm on ESPNU, and Sunday at 1pm.

No. 21 Texas Tech Men’s tennis has two home matches remaining hosting Oklahoma State on Sun., April 3, at 1 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center.

Police in a Dallas suburb say Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib has turned himself in on a warrant accusing him of firing a gun at his sister's boyfriend. Garland police said Talib was released after posting a $25,000 bond Wednesday.

Josh Beckett threw four hitless innings and the Boston Red Sox blasted Houston starter Nelson Figueroa for an 10-0 victory against the Astros on Wednesday night. Beckett allowed one hit over five innings. He didn't walk a batter and struck out three.

Derek Holland pitched five innings and allowed one run and six hits, and the Texas Rangers lost their final exhibition game to Triple-A affiliate the Round Rock Express 4-3 Wednesday night.

Missouri needs to go to its backup plan in its coaching search after Matt Painter's decision to stay at Purdue and turning down Missouri’s 2 million dollar a season offer. Painter received an 8 year extension at Purdue.
