Missouri has suspended Head Football Coach Gary Pinkel for Saturday's game against Texas Tech (5-5)and frozen his salary for the year following his DWI arrest Wednesday night in Columbia.

Athletic director Mike Alden announced the disciplinary actions Thursday afternoon which include a total of $300,000 in penalties, including a donation to a campus alcohol-awareness program, and 50 hours of community service.

Boone County Sheriff’s Department said the arrest is Pinkel’s first offense, and deputies said he was cooperative with law enforcement officials. He posted $500 bond early Thursday morning.
