The NBA has suspended Miami Heat players Udonis Haslem and Dexter Pittman for retaliatory flagrant fouls during Game 5 of their playoff series with the Indiana Pacers Tuesday night.

Haslem was suspend for Thursday’s Game 6 while Pittman picked up a three game suspension.

Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough, who also committed a flagrant foul on Heat star Dwyane Wade, had his foul upgraded to a flagrant foul 2 from a flagrant 1, but he avoided suspension.

''It's very disappointing, obviously,'' Miami forward Shane Battier said Wednesday night. ''But we're a resilient group. ... The verdict process is a mystery to players, and so we don't get caught up in it. We can't control it. We know the NBA's going to do what they feel they need to do and we need to live with the consequences. So it's really out of our hands, not worth getting riled up. We're going to put together an effort that will make Udonis and Dexter proud.”

The suspension will cost Haslem roughly $35,000 in salary and Pittman about $22,000.

Tip-off for Thursday night is set for 7:oo p.m. central
