A Lubbock man is in the hospital after being shot Sunday afternoon (February 10th).

KAMC News reports that the victim, who has yet to be identified, arrived wounded at the University Medical Center by private vehicle at 12:45 p.m. that day.

Lubbock police quickly went to the area of 50th Street and Chicago Avenue, where the victim told police he had been shot.

Police say they’re still searching for a potential black male suspect, described as 5'7"-5'8" inches tall and wearing a navy jacket. The victim suffered moderate injuries in the shooting, but is expected to recover.
