Texas Tech left-handed pitcher Rusty Shellhorn joined the Williams & Hyatt Show Monday afternoon to talk about his recent outing, how the team responded against Missouri and more.

The junior struck out seven and allowed just two base hits in seven scoreless innings as the Red Raiders defeated Missouri 7-0 Sunday for the teams first conference series win of the season.

Shellhorn improved to 5-2 on the year while matching career-highs with seven innings pitched and seven strikeouts. He threw 95 pitches Sunday on four days rest.

"I feel really good. " Shellhorn said. "You know coming back on four-days rest I haven't done that in a long time, but I felt really good and I felt like my velocity was a little bit up yesterday."

Shellhorn talked about the defensive effort behind him Sunday and the injury to Duke von Schmann.

Hyatt and Shellhorn also talked road trips on the bus and who gets to pick the travel movies?
