Richard Bohlken hit a pair of home runs and racked up eight runs-batted-in Sunday to lead No.5 LCU to a doubleheader sweep over Lindenwood University 18-15 and 10-3 at Hays Field to also complete a four-game series sweep. The 8-0 start to open the season for the Chaparrals marks their best start since opening up the 1983 season with a 13-0 record.

The No.5 LCU Lady Chaps split their play Saturday in bracket play of the Cowtown Classic, as they opened the day with a run-rule shortened 9-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist University before suffering their first loss of the season by losing to Northwood University (TX) 4-3 at Gateway Park. The Lady Chaps finished the Cowtown Classic with a 4-1 record and are now 6-1 overall.

LCU men’s basketball has now won three consecutive games against ranked opponents, as the Chaparrals knocked off No.25 Northwestern Oklahoma State University 78-70 Saturday afternoon at Percefull Field House in Sooner Athletic Conference action. LCU is now 17-9 overall on the season and they are 12-8 in the SAC with the win.

The No.19 LCU Lady Chaparrals received 22 points from Emily Atkins and they combined for 10 three-pointers in an 86-73 Sooner Athletic Conference road win over Northwestern Oklahoma State University Saturday and The Lady Chaps improve to 19-7 overall and 16-4 in the SAC.
