The Houston Texans have placed linebacker Darryl Sharpton on injured reserve with a hip injury and re-signed inside linebacker Mister Alexander to replace him on the roster.

Tim Dobbins or Barrett Rudd are expected to take Sharpton’s spot in the starting lineup at Mo linebacker next to Mike ‘backer Bradie James.

Alexander rejoins the Texans after being released on Oct. 31.

Sharpton came off the Physically Unable to Perform list Nov. 17 after suffering a torn quadriceps last season. He made in instant impact in his first game back recording seven tackles against Jacksonville, before tallying six tackles and a fumble recovery just vie days later against Detroit on Thanksgiving.
