Former Texas Tech Quarterback Retires From Football

On Tuesday evening former Texas Tech quarterback McLane Carter announced that he would be medically retiring due to a concussion he suffered in the second game of the season.

Carter had started the first two games for the Scarlet Knights, a win 48-21 over UMass and a 30-0 loss to Iowa. During the Iowa game he suffered a concussion and had yet to return to action, now that won't happen.

He completed 26 passes for 362 yards, 2 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in three halves of football this season for Rutgers.

In his two years for the Red Raiders, McLane Carter finished with a 52.6 percent completion percentage, 677 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
