The Dallas Cowboys have hired Rob Ryan as their new defensive coordinator.Ryan will keep the 3-4 defense that was used by former Dallas Cowboy head coach, and defense coordinator, Wade Phillips, who was fired halfway through last season.

Ryan was officially named the DC for Dallas in an email sent out on Wednesday by the Cowboys’ front office. This will be the third DC position for Ryan in the NFL. He spent the last two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, and the previous five seasons before that with the Oakland Raiders.

Many Cowboys fans may do a double take while watching Ryan coach on the sidelines this next season. Rob is the son of former NFL coach Buddy Ryan, and is the twin brother of current New York Jets coach Rex Ryan.

Could this be the new "War Chant" for the Dallas Cowboys' defense for next season? They already have the perfect coach for it.
