The Texas Tech Athletics YouTube channel has been going through a series featuring key players getting mic'd up during fall camp. This week's feature was QB1 Nic Shimonek, and he does not disappoint.

His positive demeanor and encouragement are indicative of his leadership. He also called a song from 2007 "old school" which made me feel old. The mic'd up segment also showed off his arm throwing a deep ball to Quan Shorts even though he said he "underthrew it."

He also had some good lines comparing himself to Brett Favre and calling for some wawa.

The most underrated clip in the whole video is Shimonek ragging on backup QB McLane Carter for his double first name. Just a classic jab. Can't trust a firsty-firsty, and according to the clip McLane Carter is a triple firsty. Quite the feat.
