With the news of Davis Martin signing with the White Sox, the 10th Red Raider this offseason to sign with his team after getting drafted, Caleb Killian was the lone remaining Texas Tech baseball player with the option to leave remaining.

The deadline would come and go with no word on his signing so Texas Tech will get their 2018 ace back for another season.

As a freshman, Killian would finish the year as the best reliever on the team, along with John McMillon, and wasn't expected to be a weekend starter in 2018 until a rash of injuries decimated the rotation.

Killian was admirable in his role finishing the year with a 3.24 ERA and a 9-3 record.

As a Junior, Killian will take a career .213 batting average against in to the season as the leader for a Weekend rotation spot. John McMillon is the only other returner who spent time in the weekend rotation last season and it's likely you'll see John "the Whammer" McMillon out of the bullpen next season.

With the rotation losing so much with Steven Gingery, Davis Martin and Ryan Shetter all turning pro, it will be great to see Caleb Killian in the Scarlet and Black next season.
